People who are recently and instantly obsessed with my fandoms annoy the fuck out of me.

There's so much more depth to this statement, I just can't arrange the words enough to make sense.
Done.

Feeling: irritated irritated

This evening, I was driving back to my college from home. They're located an hour away from each other so I normally make weekend trips back home. This weekend wasn't any less different except that I was leaving a few hours later than normal.

About five miles from my house, there's a freeway running perpendicular to another with access/exit ramps circling like crazy to help get drivers to their desired location. Now let me explain how a particular ramp is situated: It's made of two lanes, the right lane has about fifty yards until it exits again to the frontage road and the left lane ends completely at about a hundred yards. During the day and especially rush hours, it's quite a task to get on the main freeway itself if you're using this exit but it was well after nine in the evening, it shouldn't cause any trouble, right?

As I was about to change lanes to get on the freeway, I saw a pack of about six to eight motorcycles speeding past cars and behaving like kids on bikes normally do. Now, I have a fear of driving around motorcycles because I know from personal experience of how unstable they can be at times. So, as I saw them speed past, I changed my mind about getting on and was going to get on the frontage and give them time to get way ahead of me before I got back on again.

I then saw a body lying in the middle of the lane and a motorcycle skidding thirty yards from it.

I pulled over and got out of the car the moment I could stop hyperventilating and be calm enough to communicate. The man that stopped in front of me was getting the bike out of the street, there was someone already on the phone calling 911, motorcycles were tossed all over the sides of the road as they realized something went wrong. I started heading towards the man on the ground only to see men huddled around him, speaking to him, speaking to each other, trying to get a reaction. I knew there was nothing I could do, you can't move a body or risk more injury. By that time, I was just there for my own sanity. I had to know that this man somehow survived crashing into the pavement at seventy miles an hour.

I went back to the car and spoke with the woman that had stopped in front of me, she said she saw everything. As the group was coming up, there was a car that was trying to change lanes and get out of their way. It was then when the motorcycle crashed into the back of the car. I looked, there wasn't any car that looked like it had evident damage. But then again, it was mayhem, it could've been anywhere.

By then, the first police car was coming up and another not too far behind to start directing traffic away from the scene. I then learned that the man was responding and that was enough for me, since paramedics were soon to be there, I knew I'd just be in the way and went on my way extremely shaken.

-------------------
why am i posting this here? probably because i haven't been able to talk about it.
people today are so unaffected when they hear of a crash. it happens every day and it's shown in television and movies all the time.
but i have very little experience with real life crashes. i've been in one but it didn't involve another car and only a ditch my brother so foolish drove into and there's only been one major crash in my family that caused more damage than just insurance claims. so this to me is an event that'll probably affect me in the long run.

it's a terrible thing that these events happen, almost even more when you predict them happening. i knew one of them was probably going to wreck when i saw them going down the freeway. i feel a little bit guilty for thinking it too.

so next week is finals week.
... which is a whole lot of shit. :D
srsly, i hate finals.
but then again, doesn't?

anyway. Finals:
how to save your grade from complete disaster.
and how to fuck it up even more.

:|
i'm not going to rant about finals.

more importantly: when i should've been working on my FINAL project for drawing ii, i was editing my brother's paper that seriously needed a revision.
my dad got a hold of it before it was turned in originally and it came back with a Z.
A Z.
which is below a F.
but the professor was allowing my brother to fix it up [ a ton ] and let it be regraded.

which is how i got assigned to editing a nine page paper instead of doing my own work.

when i got done with it, it expanded four pages from comments about the content and grammar.

BUT.
because i was asked to save this boy's grade, i might be receiving a new tablet for my troubles.
...
dear lord, i love being a decent writer. D;

HALLELUJAH, THE DARKNESS IS ALMOST GONE.

eh, alright, not 'thebest', that position still belongs to the Nsync concert in 2000, but it was AWESOME.

Fall Out Boy, Folie a Deux, Believers Never Die tour.
with All Time Low.
Cobra Starship.
50 Cent. which was a super big shocker. i mean, really?
and Hey Monday.

...
Yeah, we got there right as Hey Monday was finishing their set but I didn't know them in the first place so... >>
not too much of a loss.

It was hilarious though that i parked RIGHT. ACROSS. from my friend that was going as well. And i hadn't talked to her for months nor even knew she was coming.
it was destiny that we met then. frsrs.

All Time Low.
uh, yeah, they're not my favourite. But i am happy with their set.
they did a good job.

COBRA STARSHIP WAS BADASS. HOLYFUCKINGSHIT.
and 50 was really on that stage for way too long.
i didn't understand it at all. especially for a sudden surprise act.
the type of people that went to the concert aren't really there to listen to rappers.
it was seriously a 'wait.what?' moment when i learned he was joining the tour.

but it was real fun watching this tall, lanky, nerdy guy really getting into it two rows down. xD
he was worth it.

FOB. amazing. yes. awesome.
even my boyfriend was singing along with a few songs, though he was pretty much dragged along against his own free will. xD
he secretly enjoyed it. i know it. >>

i didn't really completely enjoy their bleedingheartantipolitical twist they gave all their songs though.
well, at least, Pete had to give most of the songs in the first half of their performance some serious background story.
and yeah, i appreciate their care and attempt to make more people aware but...
i go to a concert to listen and enjoy music, not to be lectured about what else is going on in the world. most of the time, i use music to get /away/ from the world.
besides, you can get the hinted serious tone behind their music and lyrics already without getting commentary beforehand.
besides that, it was completely awesome.

i took video and a few pictures though i have no idea how it all turned out yet.
it was still an early outing for the camera, i hadn't gotten used to it yet.
but hopefully at least the sound quality's good enough to well make out what's going on.
there was this... fourteen year old girl sitting behind us that had the highest shriek i have ever heard.
there was no need for her to be that loud. she surely couldn't even hear anything over that.

if i'm able to figure it all out, i'll post up video later.

there is no update for the tablet situation though.
currently doing traditional stuff...
i've really been missing that ctrl+z function though. xD

i'm completely freaking out about this loss of tablet business.

seriously, i'm going through major withdrawal.
which is scary in it's own thing since apparently it's a drug.

yes, i can easily draw on traditional media but...
i do that every three days a week.
i love my digital world.
i need to paint it again.

the tablet's broken.
i was really hoping just the pen had crapped out, but no.
the actual tablet's dead.

so that means i have to go and buy a whole new one.
since this one's not under warranty because i didn't register it before the thirty day mark from its purchase.
... it wouldn't be under warranty anyway since i've had it for too long.

but still.
it's two year old Wacom Intuos3.
you would think that for such a highly respected, quality product, it would last longer.
or am i just giving them too high of hopes? do they really not last that long?
... maybe i just... /overused/ mine?

i don't know.

all i know is that now i have to save up $500. :|

what good has come out of this, though, is because of my cravings to draw, i've been able to direct my attentions towards my sketchbook that i have to turn in for a grade this afternoon. i've been neglecting it, so pretty much this weekend, i've been drawing like hell in it.

other than that, i'm going through withdrawal.

god, i'm so pissed.

FOB concert in eleven days though. :D

good god. i haven't updated this thing in forever, haven't i?

...
yeah.
:|
and sadly there's nothing to put here.
except... i need to really go to bed.
cause it's 5:29am.

my tablet's broken. that's a big fucking downer.
i have no idea what's wrong with it besides it picks up the pen for only... half a second. :|
usermanual says it might be a 'hardware problem'. i really hope it's not.
i need a tablet.

and i need to see The Boat That Rocked the moment i can.
i sense a major road trip is in the future.
god, that'd be /awesome/

...might update again when Nanowrimo comes around.
i swear, i'm going to really participate in it this time.
... third time's the charm. CB

I, just as every Tim Burton and/or Johnny Depp fan, have come back from the midnight showing of Sweeney Todd and have decided to put in my two cents on this very... original showing of the story for all to read.
[Or anyone that has that much time to kill.]

Of course, there'll be spoilers but hey, you chose to read on.
